Hunters driving to Newfoundland would have to take the Marine Atlantic ferry from North Sydney, Nova Scotia to Port-aux-Basques, Newfoundland (crossing time approx. 6 hours). Ferry reservations can be arranged at the toll free number 1-800-341-7981 or by visiting www.marineatlantic.ca. Once arriving in Newfoundland you will have a three hour drive to the Deer Lake Motel. Hunters would have to arrive in Deer Lake on a Saturday before the hunt and could depart Newfoundland on that Sunday night after the hunt.
